A typical fairytale follows the model of contrast. and so does Narnia. The children start in the professor’s home in peace and harmony, but then they get to Narnia where there is trouble and problems, and when there finally is peace in Narnia they return to the professor’s house. The message in Narnia is that the good people always win in the end. You have to be true to yourself and other people. It is never a good idea to lie. Some people might say that Narnia is similar to the bible, and is a Christian story. It is not a thing you think about when you are a child, but when you get older you will start se the similarities. |
