Skribentens beskrivelse af Andy and the Snake AnalyseAnalyse af "Andy and the snake" The narrator in the story “Andy and the Snake” is a first-person narrator in the first 7 lines “Every day he told us about snakes…” “He read me a story from his journal”. Afterwards it becomes a third-person narrator. Our narrator is not an omniscient narrator, but a limited narrator, because the audience only hears the story from Andy’s point of view. Andy is a boy, who is fascinated by animals. He have wrote most of his life down in a journal, which he tells his friends, now and then. In the story “Andy and the Snake” Andy is a lonely fourteen year old boy, without any friends except his brother “He was about fourteen years old and had no friends, except for his little brother”. He is strong and brave of character and will not let anyone push him around, not even if they have a gun “The guy said: ‘What snake?’ And then turned to look at Andy, with the pistol in his hand.” |
