Skribentens beskrivelse af SchooluniformIn my opinion school uniforms are a good idea in a class, where there are problems with bullying. It makes a difference to the students who haven’t much money, and therefore can't afford nice clothes. I know that if I don't have money to by nice clothes, I would compare me to my classmates. Every hole day, I would say to myself; “she is prettier than me, she is prettier than me,” and at last I wouldn't think about learning, only about the way I look. In television I have watch and seen the use of school uniforms in countries of the third world. In these countries nearly all schools have introduced school uniforms. In this way all the kids are equal and you can't see if the kids are from a rich or a poor family. There is also a bad site of school uniforms. Therefor I don't comply with the idea of school uniforms. There is roughly 200 school days in a calendar year. If you have to wear some clothes you really don't like, then you wouldn't be satisfied with yourself. I know that, if there were school uniforms in my school and I should wear a dress I hate every single school day, I wouldn't like to go to school. I like to be happy with myself every time I look in a mirror. You need confidence to go to school, and you can't get that, if you think you look stupid. Although it is a good principal that all kids wear school uniforms in the poor countries, then it might be difficult for some families to afford buying school uniforms for the kids. If the kids don't have a school uniform, they are not allowed to go to school. School uniforms for teachers? I think it is a really stupid idea. I have never heard about any school were the teachers have problems with bullying. I am actually pretty much uncared, but I also agree with the boy who thinks it is unfair that pupils have to wear them, when the teachers don't have to. School uniforms to help maintain school discipline: Like a wrote before, I think that you need to focus during the lessons, and that is rather difficult if you all the time think about the way you look in comparison to the other pupils. If you don't have the money to buy nice clothes, then it just makes everything worse, because it isn't your fault then, and you can't buy anything else. So I really think that school uniforms could help to maintain school discipline. |
