He is in the forest with his dad to go hunt. He has been hunting with his father before but at that time he was unable to shoot his goal. Tommy looking up to his father so this time he doesn't want to disappoint him. In the hunt, Timmy was ready with the rifle while his father would lure the “animal” from the bush. Suddenly the animal appeared, and Timmy squeezes the trigger. For a second he doubted whether it was the nigger or his father he had shot. But Timmy’s father Pa appeared from the bush and Timmy was now a hero. |
