Skoleskyderier i USA: Columbine High

This paper is investigating three school shootings, which have been in the last 13 years. The focus will be on finding similarities between the shooting on Columbine High School, the shooting on Virginia Tech University, and the shooting on Sandy Hook Elementary school.

It analyzes what the various interests, for and against, can use the shootings and estimates, whether it is the American gun law that has to be changed. This assignment will also show a discourse analysis of the speeches of Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama to the grieving population, where you will find, what they have to say about the shootings, and how to get their messages across the country - using many rhetorical instruments.

Thereby it can be concluded, that anyone can use the school shootings for something. The presidents can use it to show their human side, and the interests may use the shooting as arguments to show, that it is not only the gun law that is to blame for the courses of school shootings.
