My name is Kevin; I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I like a lot of things, but the one or two things that probably has the biggest impact on my style, my personality and my ego, is the surfing and skateboard culture. They are very much alike, which is the reason why I decided to pick them both.
I do not really surf a lot, nor do I skate a whole lot, but during the summer, I like to grab my skateboard and just skate around. I feel like I lose myself when I skate around, it doesn’t matter if I’m doing it at the beach (the beach has these paths made of concrete, which are pretty good for skating) or in the inner city, I just like doing it and I feel totally free while doing it.
I think I started to get an interest in the skating and surfing culture back when I was around eleven or twelve. I watched a movie called “Lords of Dogtown” which is just a movie about these skater friends, who by the way also surfs. Based in the mid 70’s, when skating was at its best in my opinion. I started thinking, “Hey, these guys are pretty cool. Why haven’t I discovered this kind of culture before?” Then slowly as time passed, I subconsciously started dressing a bit like them too, although it is probably just times changing and just me buying my own clothes, and not my mom doing it for me.
