Jehovah´s witnesses

Jehovah's Witnesses are an international religious community whose theology and religious practice are based on the Catholic and Protestant dogmas. Jehovah's Witnesses are members of a Christianbased religious movement. The movement was founded in the USA towards the end of the 19th century, under the leadership of Charles Taze Russell. The headquarter is in New York and there are about 8.3 million active Witnesses worldwide.

Jehovah's Witnesses want to honour Jehovah, the God described in the Bible who has created everything. They do their best to imitate Jesus Christ and are proud to be Christians. Jehovah's uses time to teach mankind about the Bible and the Kingdom of God. Since they witness/speak about Jehovah the God and his kingdom, they are known as Jehovah's Witnesses. Jehovah's Witnesses worshipper Jehovah the god, but they do not attend a church, they have a meeting house. Jehovah's Witnesses are inspired by what is commonly called for The Old Testament and The New Testament, what they call the Hebrew Writings and The Christian Greek Writings. The Hebrew Writings are about creation and timeless wisdom, about how to get a happy family life. In addition, they are inspired by the Mosaic Law, which is written in the Torah - it is about the good human being. They are funded by voluntary contributions. There is no fundraising at their meetings, on the other hand, there are set-up sponsors. The contributions being forwarded to Jehovah's Witnesses branch offices are being used to help victims of natural disasters, support missionaries, and others who proclaim on a full-time basis, invent our meeting rooms in developing countries and to print and send Bibles and other Christian publications.
