Child labour: causes, prevalence and solutions

Children are forced to work because they are poor or live in very bad societies.

An estimated 158 million children aged 5-14 are engaged in child labour. Millions of children are engaged in hazardous situations or conditions, such as working in mines, working with chemicals and pesticides in agriculture or working with dangerous machinery.

When a child lives in a poor enviroment and the parents don't earn enough money, it is often forced to work. Sometimes families sell their children to work for rich people. When they are sold they usually gets to work as slaves or in a factory. Some children are sold in secret or on open street, to have sex with adults. The most common is that children works on factories and in the street. But the selling of children to use for sex is becoming a very big problem. The childrens who are forced to have sex with adults are being hurt fysical and sylogical. All this is against the law of human rights. 2. Where are children forced to work?

In the 19th century children often went to work to help support their families. Children as young as five worked. working days could last 16 hours or more. Jobs could be extremely dangerous, and children were often seriously injured or killed.
