Children are forced to work because they are poor or live in very bad societies. An estimated 158 million children aged 5-14 are engaged in child labour. Millions of children are engaged in hazardous situations or conditions, such as working in mines, working with chemicals and pesticides in agriculture or working with dangerous machinery. When a child lives in a poor enviroment and the parents don't earn enough money, it is often forced to work. Sometimes families sell their children to work for rich people. When they are sold they usually gets to work as slaves or in a factory.
