First of all, thank you so much for the special present you gave me. It was an extremely nice surprise that I couldn’t foresee. A free ticket for any event in the United Kingdom. And you even made suggestions. At first glimpse at your suggestions, I already knew which one I fancied the most. The football cup final at Wembley Stadium in London. Two of the greatest teams in the world facing each other in a final. PSG vs Chelsea. The first thing that struck my mind was: “Wauw! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I have to make use of”. And that I did indeed.

This is how the trip went.

The first thing I had to find out was who I was going to accompany me with. So, I called my best friend, who is also very intrigued by football. We both got permission to travel alone. The journey from our home in Denmark, to the hotel in London, was a blast in itself. When we arrived, we went straight to bed. The following day we spent exploring London until it was game time.

Our seats on the stadium where perfect. We sat with Chelsea. The people around us were all glad and singing songs and saying different phrases simultaneously. It was incredible being so close to some of the most legendary players in the world. A guy in his thirties saw us and asked if we wanted an autograph from one of the players. We answered of course. And with no hesitation, he went down as close to the field as he was allowed with a pen in his hand and called one of my favorite players names up: “Aye Willian! Willian!” Despite the noise on the stadium Willian was close and came over. The guy waved his hands and told us to come down. I received an autograph on my shirt and shuck hands with the legendary man himself, Willian. I wasn’t expecting that kind of behavior from a guy like the one who helped us with the autograph. Actually, all of the men who sounded mean and not nice because they were all yelling things like: “Fucking wanker! Shit player! Go home!”, despite the rude behavior they were all really nice and welcoming to us. This surprised me a lot. I thought the British hooligans were rude, but they weren’t. The game was good, and Chelsea won 2-1. And I will never forget that I met Willian.
