It was a normal day in my village, where I am living together with my wife, and 4 children, in our house which is made from clay. We had our usual breakfast together, like we always have.

After the breakfast I was supposed to go hunting, but I got interrupted by 3 white men. They didn’t say anything to me, they just dragged me out of the village, but unfortunately, no one noticed me, although I was shouting. I tried to talk to them and ask what was going on, but of course they could not understand my language. A bit longer away from the village they put handcuffs on me, then they started walking me down to the coast. They didn’t walk yet, because 3 more men came with another guy from the village. When he came closer, I could see that it was my cousin Odongo. We began walking and I started talking to Odongo, but then the white guys took a revolver up to my head.

We came closer to the coast, and I could see a huge ship. They took us up on board. They linked 20 of us together with a chain, we got inside a small dark room, where we should stand up all the time. We got food, but it was very bad, just to keep us alive.
