Beretning om diskrimination mod hijabi pige

I have an important story to tell regarding discrimination because of religion I would appreciate if you shared this story with other people.

Hi, I’m a Muslim girl who lives in a small town, where a lot of different people live. But I have noticed a lot of people casually being racist to my friend. My friend is a hijabi from Iraq, she has different face features, styles, belief than Europeans.

Last week my hijabi friend and I were sitting at the park minding our own business. My friend noticed that a group of 4 boys has been staring at us for a while. I went to the market to get us something to eat and when I came back, I couldn’t believe in my eyes. One of the guys came up behind her and started pull off her hijab. She froze at the spot she was so shocked and didn’t know what to do. She took her blazer off and covered her hair while the guys were laughing at her and saying, “now let us see your hair little terrorist”. She was shivering and yelling “please leave me alone” So many people was at the park, but nobody stand up for her, helped or at least asked her if she were okay which was awful to eyewitness. I was in shock I ran up to her and gave her the biggest hug she was so shaky. I called the police and told everything that happen, but the police told me to “just ignore it” like its nothing serious. I was very disappointed that the police didn’t do or say nothing to those guys. My friend told me that this was not the first time that people disrespect for wearing the hijab I’m sure that many hijabis get disrespect. It would be kind of you to read this story and consider to making it public because this is a rare topic, and nobody talks about it even that they know discrimination against Muslims exist.
