Traditionally in the society addiction is not culturally accepted, smoking

weed, drinking too much and so on - these are alle things we are trying to

get rid of in our society, they need to be treated. Treated, not precluded

because finding a cure seems impossible. In a world where a phone is a

matter of course, the distractions are many, new addictions are forming. An

average college student focuses on any task for just 65 seconds1. A simple

buzz is one of the biggest thieves in the robbing of attention.

The thrilled google engineer who invented the Buzz that our phones make,

changed the world forever. It was an innocent idea, which now has turned

a non-negotiable part of our life; it lives rent-free in our world. Today it

has expanded and evolved, now there is dedicated sounds for specific

apps, as well as flashing lights and vibrations to make sure our attention

goes towards it. Simply put, it has become the root of both good and evil,

just like any other addiction.

It seems remarkable and silly, the power which a single sound has over our

mind. Scientist have been exploring the brain for ages, yet it still seems so
