We all know what a friend is. But do we in reality know what a real friend is? Are all of your 1.300 friends on Facebook real friends?

I think there is growing inflation in the notion “friends”. In these days, we even call people we don’t know, as our friends. Even I do it too, but I think it’s really impersonal. I hope that I can control who are real friends and who I cannot trust. For me a real friend is someone who I can talk with about everything, someone I can share my interests with, someone who will come and help me whenever I need them. You can say alot about friendship but I think the most important word is trustworthy. If you can’t trust your friend, it isn’t a true friend. It is also important for yourself that your friends are reliable. Everybody needs a friend and almost everybody’s got one. Close or not. But personally I think it is really important to have a close friend. There are some requirements to get close. The requirements are different for every human. But there is one thing in common, which every person wants: Understanding. If two people understand each other, they don’t fight so much, and they can have a really strong friendship. All kinds of friendships can go wrong, but it’s up to you how long you want it to last. If you want a long friendship, you have to accept the decline that is attached. Because you can’t have a good and long friendship, without declines. Facebook has people’s circle of friends gradually developed, so now it’s not only your close and real friends who knows your privacy. Instead it has come to necessity that everybody can see pictures from your holiday or the last party. And in fact you don’t want all your friends on facebook, to see the pictures or the information. But when you say yes to be a ‘friend’ with a person on facebook, you also automatic say yes to share all your privacy and pictures with the person.
