My passion has always been to be a pilot, because when I was little when my parent’s was out I was taken care of by a family friend in Copenhagen. We went to the airport, and watched planes land and take-off. That was when I was three years old, so I have been growing a little since then. So from there on it has always been in my subconscious, and as a fifteen year old I still remember.
Today my hobby/sport is flying sailplanes, and I have been doing that for about 1 ½ years now, and i love to have some excitement in life. The surprising thing is that you can start flying as fourteen year old. It is a little weird that you can fly a plane as fourteen year old, but you can’t ride a scooter.
The first time tried to fly sailplane I just fell in love with the silence there is when you are flying, except when the instructor is jelling at you because you’re doing something wrong. But I also felled love with the view, when you’re that high, on a clear day you can see over hundred kilometers, and that is spectacular. Then there is the more studying side of it, if you want to go further with the flying you have to get a certificate, and to get that you need to pass a test, and that test includes four subjects. The test overall is very tuff even I had difficulties beating it, but I did so thank god for that. But that was only the theoretical part, I would still need to complete the practical part of the test and I am still waiting to my sixteenth birthday, because you need to be sixteen in order to take your license.
