The poem tells us about success, which could make the world a better place to be, like it says “To laugh often and much”. I understand it as: you shouldn’t stay at home just to spare up money all day long. You have to go out, like going to the cinema with your girlfriend, spend some money with your friends, something that makes you have fun. You could even go to a stand-up comedy show. That will for sure make you laugh. “To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children”. Everyone does stupid things every day, but that doesn’t make you a bad person. You don’t have to be cool to gain attention, if you take a look at the minister of education in Denmark, she dropped out of school as kid, but now she is a highly educated woman and I did so, I didn’t meet up in school just to run around making trouble and have fun with my friends. That made my parents worried about me, and they had a meeting with our caseworker, and got me removed from the bad group of young criminals. After 4 years away from home, I realized that I really needed my school lessons, to get graduated. Now I am ready to move away from home with my girlfriend and handle all the troubles myself. To me, that’s a success. The state took care of me, and made me grew up to the person that I am today. Long time ago, someone started a company named “red barnet” that means “save the children”. It is an organization that supports poor children with etc. incurable diseases. If you don’t have a child, you will have one someday. What would you do, if you were pregnant and there only was 1 month left till the baby should be born, and the doctor showed with some tests showing that your baby was going to be born handicapped? Some people do put it out for adoption; if you would do so, then don’t get pregnant! If you can’t take the responsibility, and the affection of your own child, you shouldn’t get one. “To appreciate beauty” Do you think you are ugly? I don’t, many girls are spending hours in front of the mirror, and they don’t have to. A girl can be very beauty in many ways. The only way they are seeing them selves are on the front of the girls’ magazine besides of Jennifer Lopez. They don’t have to look like them, but the magazine keeps telling them. They should not have to be as thin as Jennifer, they do not have to dress them like this, and for sure their make-up don’t have to be as good. But the girls have forgotten something. Jennifer has special professionals to take care of her make-up every day 24/7 and the magazine doesn’t tell you about all the diet pills they have to eat very morning which the chemists declares very unhealthy. Some of the pills contain the same as drugs used on the nightclubs. You are definitely beauty. That just depends on how you look at yourself in the mirror. You are for sure succeeded in many ways. Maybe someone in the staff room likes you very much. No matter what happens, keep the love to your family you cant get another. Are you good at something? Like maybe you could be a really good cook? Everyone has their special abilities, but many never get to know of them.
