Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to focus on the Danish V Welfare state. It defines the overall concept and explains three different generic welfare models. The models are related to three Danish political parties and their individual ideologies and official political statements. These statements are analysed and compared to facts from various statistical sources that either support or contradict the text. Following the definition I discus the common understanding that the welfare state is under pressure. This discussion uses a blog-text from a Danish politician Pelle Dragsted to explore the facts behind this understanding.
