I checked the sky for signs of rain and set off early to make the most of the day. I had packed my bag with a few necessities – a bite to eat, a bottle of water and heaps of curiosity about what the day would bring. I was looking forward to a great day. I’m going to the mountains in New Zealand. When we arrived at the foot of the biggest mountain. My goal was to reach the top, there was a little house and many rocks. I just started to go. When I reached, the halfway I saw a man. I could only see his legs under the snow. I ran towards him and did everything to try to help him but no signal so I couldn’t call or anything, I remembered that I got something to eat and some water. I started a fire and lay him so he got the warmth from the fire because he was very cold. I put my hand on his neck to see if he had a pulse. And he was still alive I couldn’t understand it. He has been there for maybe 3 or 4 hours. He would have been dead. But suddenly he began to cough and I got so happy that he was awoke. Then I brought some doctors to help him I went back down and called the hospice because I really wanted to help this guy and they said they would be there in 10 min. I decided to go further. I went past a deep hole it looked like it was bottomless. I was so scared because I didn’t want to fell in the hole so I decided to turn around and go back down. I have learned that it’s good to help people. And sometimes you can save a life. I have also learned that sometimes you need to challenge yourself if you want to do something great for other people. At the end of the day, I felt like a hero because I just save a man’s life.
