But why does people get eating disorders Some causes can be irregular hormone functions, genetics it is not fully researched but scientist believe that you can inherit eating disorders through your genes and if you have Nutritional deficiencies then you are basicly on the way to an eating disorder these were biological factors but there are psychological and environmental factors too such as a negative body image which is when no matter how perfect your body looks you still as an example feel like you can be thinner so you starve yourself usually a poor body image is a side effect of low self-esteem the environmental factors can be a family which do not function properly or that your job promotes an unhealthy lifestyle like modeling and ballet
