Mars One: En families drøm om et nyt liv på Mars

A private non-profit organization, called Mars One, is behind a project to establish a permanent colony of human beings on the red planet(Mars).

When I first heard this I was a bit skeptic about it, I thought to myself that leaving our planet would be ridiculous and have no purpose. But then I started to wonder about all those articles about pollution, globalwarming and that oure planet is dying so maybe it was actually at good idea to go to Mars. I began discussing it with my family and the felt the same way as I did the were at little bit skeptic but upon further consideration we becam even more clear about what to do. We were going to sign up for the program.

Those who are selected to go will be trained in groups of four. When the time for the first mission comes – in 2024 – the first group will be chosen.

One of the only reasons i dident want to go was if I had to leave my family, but now they also wanted to go. So we applied to the Mars One operation, as time went by i started to dig in too how we were going to live on the new planet. Mars is an extremely cold place, with hardly any oxygen so that was the first obstacle, the Mars One organization were going to sent modular living units and a life support system so we were actually going to be able to wear normal clothes inside these units, but outside spacesuits will be neded.
