The civil war in Syria has been one of the largest drivers of the global refugee crisis, which has left 68.5 million people displaced. With neighboring countries no longer able to absorb uprooted Syrians after more than seven years of fighting, more than a million refugees have fled to Europe to seek safety and better lives. At the same time, the U.S. is slamming its doors on refugees. Refugee crisis can refer to large groups of displaced people, who could be either internally displaced persons, refugees or other migrants, the incidents in their country of origin, or to problems while on the move, or it can refer to problems in the hosting countries after arrival involving large groups of displaced peoples, asylum seekers or refugees. The main reasons they flee is war and bad living condition. This causes the refugees to flee, which in the past few years, has led to many fatalities.

Problems

I believe the government does not do enough to solve this crisis. This crisis is definitely up there as one of the most important problems that needs to change, for the sake of humanity. Many people says that the refugees should find better ways to find escape than to work with the smugglers. I have to say do you think that they had other alternatives, the refugees where living in the worst environments. They have it hard to even find food and water, they also have to constantly beware, that their village could get bombed at any moment. I think it is quite disgusting, how the smugglers transport the refuges. Honestly, the smugglers use the cheapest ways to transport refugees across borders. They do it for their own benefits; they do not care about the people’s health or safety. That is where I question myself, are they human? They literally do not have any sympathy towards the refugees. In Greece, every day the coast cleaner’s find many human bodies’ laying around the Greek shore. Consider how dangerous it is too travel through heavy waves on a raft that has minimum safety equipment, this is why so many refugees die every year, when trying to flee from their home country.
