I choose the company air New Zealand for my assignment. Air New Zealand is New Zealand’s national fly company of NZ. Air New Zealand operates a global network that provides passenger and cargo services to, from and within New Zealand to approximately 17 million passengers a year Describe how the concept of Putake may encourage a business to engage in CSR. Air New Zealand is the main airline in New Zealand. So maybe it's one of the main reasons why Air New Zealand is existing. And when Air New Zealand is the only airline company that has domestic flights in New Zealand, the company Air New Zealand has a lot of bookings cause when people need a fast way to get from “A to B” in NZ then, they need to fly with Air New Zealand because it’s the only airline in NZ there got domestic flights. Describe examples of how your case study business displays CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in relation to: - Their workers - Their community If you work in a big corporation like Air New Zealand you need appropriate training in health and safety courses because health and safety is an important thing in New Zealand. And safety is an important thing when you’re flying both for workers and passengers. Explain how the measures used by the business will affect the stakeholders in the short term and long term. (Stakeholders could include: workers, shareholders, suppliers, community groups etc). If the company was to stop trading it would affect many people in many ways. For example: there would be no flights, positions for workers the flow on effect would be very detrimental to many people and companies that supply Air New Zealand.
