Charles Perrault´s “the little red riding hood” tells the story about the prettiest girl ever seen. She is called the Little Red Riding Hood, because her grandmother, that loved her dearly, once made a little red riding hood for her. One day her mother sends her over to the grandmother with a girdle-cake, and this little pot of butter. On her way, she meets Gaffer Wolf, who has in mind to eat her. But he doesn't at first, because he saw some faggot-makers who passed by in the woods. The wolf asks her where she's going, and she replies that she's going to visit her grandmother. The wolf says he also wants to see the grandmother and entices the little Red riding Hood to go a long detour so he can be sure that he arrives first. When the wolf arrives to the grandmother, he eats her, then he lies in bed and pretends to be her, so he can eat the little red riding hood when she comes, and he does.
