I’ve seen your post about wanting a teenager’s opinion on teenager’s relationship between parents and them, and since I’m a teenager myself, I thought I would give you my point of view on it and tell you about some of my experiences when I have gotten into a fight with my parents.
Well let’s start with talking about the typical relationship between adults and teenagers. Typically when you get to the teenager age, you become a lot faster annoyed or mad. I’ve experienced it myself. Fx. before I was teenager, I loved my parents and almost never held a grudge against them, but now/when I hit the teen age, it feels like most of the time I just want to get them out of the house, or I just want to be away from them.
Of course, I love them, and I watch movie’s several times a week, but it’s like when I became a teenager, they have been stricter. I know it’s probably just me that’s getting more annoying, but there is no way that they haven’t changes how they speak to me now.
After you become a teenager, you also learn how to talk back to your parents. But even though I’ve learned to talk back, there is still A LOT I still wouldn’t dare to say to my parents. It’s mostly my mother I’m afraid to talk back to, and I think that’s the case in many families.
