This week has been amazing! It was a lovely new experience and I feel so blessed to be able to share it with you. From the moment I stepped foot outside of the airport I knew this was going to be an incredible new way of learning about culture.
The kindergarten I was in was the cosiest and most colourful kindergarten I have ever seen. And it had an amazing outside play area with a slide, a sandpit and lots of other fun stuff. The kindergarten was pretty big so even though I was there for a week, I still couldn’t find my way around by the end of my stay. And the staff, they were incredibly nice, they made me feel so welcome. Plus, the kids, I can’t forget the kids, they gave me a tour and then they insisted on playing hide and seek, which in their defense is really fun.
I was for the most part helping with the kids, but I also got to be in the kitchen with the chef which was fun. The kids got lunch every day from the kitchen, so I helped set that up and cleaning it up afterwards.
As for my learning. I obviously didn’t learn that much academic, but I learnt so much about the culture and the way of doing things in a different way. Although Denmark and England are relatively close, they have a lot of differences, and I was lucky to learn about that instead.
