The article from BBC NEWS is about a man named Richard Taylor, whose son has been killed with a broken beer bottle. Richard Taylor wishes for the death penalty to be reintroduced, because he believes that it would make people think twice.

What made him react was the later death of Jahmal Mason-Blair. Jahmal died from a stab round the neck in east London. Jahmal loved football and was offered a contract before he was killed. A thirteen years old boy is suspected for the murder.

Jahmal father has created a group on Facebook as a memorial. More than 1,800 people joined the group.

Richard Taylor is still fighting for the death penalty to be reintroduced. He does it because he has experienced losing a child to a murderer, but also because he wants to reduce the number of murderers. He believes strongly in the concept”a life for a life”.

The death penalty is a much discussed subject; because almost everybody has an opinion about it, and the fact that there is death penalty in some countries and in some countries there is not; certainly do not make it any easier. Dave Atwood, who is a death penalty investigator, think that the main reason to death penalty, is the fact that people want revenge. Some people think that death penalty is good for the society, bus Dave Atwood think differently, he says that when people kill, it is mostly because the killer have had a weak moment.
