I’m fine, and I had read about your festival experience. I can unfortunately not tell you about my festival experience, because I had never been to a festival before. But I want to go to a festival with my friends; I think it could be very fun. Now I want to tell you, something about the Roskilde festival, and what kind of things people do in the festival.

Roskilde festival is north biggest festival, and Europe’s next biggest festival. (There plays) different music genres, but mostly pop and rock. Every year plays about 150 bands, on 6 stages in four days, from Thursday to Sunday. In the Roskilde festival is there not only music, but lots of miscellaneous stalls, where you can buy something. The festival was created in 1971 by two high school students, Mogens Sandfær and Jesper Switzer Møller, and promoter Carl Fischer. It was Denmark's first real music oriented festival. It was originally for hippies, but today it covers most of the mainstream youth, from Scandinavia and the rest of Europe. The festival begins every year in the end of June or early in July at the Roskilde Dyrskueplads.

When people are to festivals in Denmark, they drink too much. So most of the people there are to festivals is wasted at the night, and some people think that it is a part of the festival. Denmark is also one of the countries, where young people drink most alcohol.
