I was invited on one of the two ships called Eye of the Wind and Soren Larsen. I decided to sail on ship called Eye of the Wind. The next day we left Sydney and started our trip to Lisbon, but first we were going to Auckland in New Zealand. On the trip to Auckland we saw some dolphins and we had a lot of sun on the way. In Auckland we had a week to get ready for the next stage to Montevideo. When we almost came to Cape Horn, we saw a lot of icebergs and there was cold 20 degrees and the other ship sailed in to an iceberg. But the ship didn’t sink and if it did, we where close to them so we could rescue them and there were many storms on the way. When we sailed out side Cape Horn, there were really beautiful that was something I wont forget. On the way to Falkland Islands it got hotter and when we were there some guys had robbed me they stole all my money but the police captured the robbers the next day. A week after we set the course for Lisbon when we where close to St. Helena the mast brooked into two pieces and we tried to sail into St. Helena and it took us a few days. We were at St. Helena in a month, because we had to make a new mast, and some local people helped us. When we were ready to sail we got a S.O.S from Soren Larsen. We started to sail and a few hours later we found the ship, and we thought we had rescued them all but Michael Austin was missing. We had a break to the next day because he had drowned. The next day we started to sail again. When we arrived in the Lisbon our family where waiting for us and I was sorry for Michaels wife Kristin, and the next day we were to Michael’s funeral. The day Michael died I did never forget.
