This study examines the causes behind the war in Afghanistan. Where it goes back to the containment strategy, that Truman introduced, to close down the Soviet and it’s communism, to the attack on World Trade Centre in New York in 2001. The study also tells about the history of United Nations, and which goals the organisation has, where peace is one of them.
The study discuss the Danish and Western Europe’s influence in the war, from building schools to having a finger in the killing of Osama Bin-laden, who was the instigator behind the attack on World Trade Centre.
It will also give a discussion of Danish politicians stance and opinion about the war in Afghanistan, where it shows there are a contrast between socialism and liberalism.
The study is based on articles, books and documentaries. There are also different authorities, for example a speech from former President Bush. The articles was specially used in comparing and discussion the Danish politicians opinions.
