7 God
En sammenhængende og gribende fortælling om en børnesoldats oplevelser. Selvom sproget har fejl, er narrativet stærkt og kan give inspiration til andre elever.

My name is Ishmael and I’m 26 year old. I was a child soldier from when I was 12 years old.

I got trapped by the African mafia who said you gonna be a child soldier, and taked me from my family. So I cried and said I do not want to be a child soldier, and the man said to me, do you have money to pay me. If you do not have money to pay me I’ll let you go? I said to him, no I do not have money to pay you. I have no money to get food. How do you think I can pay you? So the man said, if you can’t pay me you will come with me and be a child soldier. That’s it’s.

The first day in the camp, they said to me I had to shoot someone, and I said I did not want to kill anyone. They said to me, If you do not kill him I’ll kill you and your family. I had no choice. If I do not kill him they would kill my family. I went to the man I had to shoot and I said Sorry. If I do not kill you, they will kill my family, “sorry” bang bang. After I had killed the man, they said to me, “here is a cup” put his blood in the cup and drink it, now’. I said to the man, why should I drink the blood? The men said only do what I say, and if you do not do what I said, you know what I will do to your family. So drink it, now’. After I had drunk the blood, they said to me I shout come with him in a room with cocaine. They said to me, you had to take this line now’ and I said fine. I’ll do it for my family. After I had taked the line I was dizzy. The man said to me, take this gun, and get outside, look around if someone you did not know, shoot him/that down”. I said, okay. I will”, my head hurt very much. I did some things I did not want to do. I couldn’t control myself. The gun I had in my hand was very heavy, and I couldn’t hold it right. It went up and down. I couldn’t shoot anybody. If someone came I would shoot past and I would get killed myself.
