I want this book to tell about the time I was a slave in America. Firstly, my name is John Smith I am 54 years. I grew up in Africa, but has not lived there all the time.

Me and my wife were enslaved when I was 25 and my wife was 23 years. my wife was pregnant and she was 5 months. we were put on a huge boat where there were many other families. we had sailed to America is being sold. I was so scared and feared the worst. It was not all that survived the boat trip, many tried to jump overboard and many did not eat or drink. Me and my wife looked at each other and knew that we were forced to keep together.

We were really long for the boat, it felt like years.

when we arrived in America, I had even more fear in my body, it was so terrible.

We stood at a place where there were many ships we went out of the ship. We were all scared.

I was dragged one way and my wife the other way. We both cried, I had the feeling that I'm never going to see her again. I was led to a room where they asked me to take my clothes off, I did it. I was put to a queue which should be examined to see how much I was worth. I was sold for 200$. I had to work for a company that sold corn, I would be working in the field along with 25 other slave men. It was a super hard work. We had to sleep in a barn with a lot of animals. I missed my wife so much, I think about her day and night. It was the beginning of my slave life.
