Dear Maritzburg Grammar School, my name is [NAVN]. I live in [BY], Denmark with my family. I am 22 years old, born [FØDSELSDAG]. I am writing an application because I would like to go to your boarding school. It sounds like it is an interesting school that has many great features, many different courses with things that are wildly apart. I hear you have a mathematics course which I would very much like to go to, because I am greatly talented at numbers and such. It sounds like great fun and an excellent opportunity for me to improve my talent. I would also like to know more about the African culture, your cuisine and what your wildlife is like. This is why it is very important for me to spend a year at Maritzburg Grammar School. I have looked at many other scholarships, although yours always has something more exciting and simply better for me, personally. Your free twice-a-year two-way ticket fits perfectly for a person who lives far away. Your job system will also allow me to get a free time job, when I am not studying. I can do most jobs, although I am a very good at cooking and I would also like to be a teacher for poor children. I have experience as a cook, both with small batches of food and big batches, if you need a cook in the college kitchen. Although I don’t have experience with teaching smaller children, I have been a 7th grade substitute math teacher. I am very good at working with people and I am very rarely late for work. Your college is an opportunity for me to learn much about many, very different cultures from all around the world. The college I go to as of now doesn’t have as many people as you do. The lecturers aren’t very much more gifted than most of the students, so the things they say are simply things they read from a book. I’ve seen a clip from a lecture on YouTube where the lecturer really incorporates the students within the lecture. I like that your system tries teaching people something, while also making the many hours of lecturing that a student would go through in a year, fun. This is why I believe that your boarding school is something special and the reason why I would like to go to Maritzburg. Because it’s not just education. It is an experience for life.
