Quentin Jerome Tarantino is a director and screenwriter with tremendous success. In fact, many people agree that he’s one of the best directors of all time.
To me Quentin Tarantino is indeed a true genius. I adore his movies, and I love discussing his works and techniques, so I figured it would be a suitable topic. He manages to appeal to such a broad audience. In my opinion Quentin Tarantino is one of the very few film directors left, who keeps his originality intact meanwhile maintaining his personal touch.
In which ways are his characters remarkable?
Now, In Hollywood, strong female characters with actual depth are rare. However, Tarantino features iconic females such as Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction, Beatrix Kiddo from Kill Bill and Shoshana Dreyfus from inglorious basterds. He intends to give his ladies independency, as opposed to those simply supporting the lead male, adding to his story, and developing his personality. Further, Quentin Tarantino also includes different races and sexualities. His works expand the ethnic slash racial spectrum so far beyond the usual blockbusters – and without ever leaving one thinking; “oh, this character is just a statement, a proof of diversity”.
Why have Tarantino films become cult objects?
