“iRobot” is a movie about a Robotic dystopian future. In the year 2035, robots are now common assistants for their human owners and a part of society. Detective Spooner investigates the murder of Dr. Lanning who has designed the robots at U.S Robotics. Dr. Calvin gives him a tour of U.S Robotics, and they meet a robot named Sonny. He thinks he killed Dr. Lanning because of his hate for robots. Dr. Calvin refused it could be Sonny, because of the three laws. 1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey orders given to it by humans begins, except where such orders would conflict with the first law. 3. A robot must protect its existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first and second laws. Then Spooner finds out that Sonny has feelings and is not the killer.
Suddenly robots take control over society through a central computer with artificial intelligence named V.I.K.I, which also killed Dr. Lanning. Then they try to stop the signal and destroy V.I.K.I.
