Tropical mean that the area are with low pressure, heavy rain and wind.
Subtropical mean that it’s neither too hot or too cold.
Temperate mean that summers are hot and dry , and winters are mild and wet.
Arid means very dry.
The southerly regions have temperate climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters while areas nearer the equator are subtropical. Northern Queensland and parts of the Northern Territory have heavy rainfall between January and March, and this period is also called “The wet”. The seasons in the south of the globe are different from the north. The summer months are from December to February, autumn is from March to May, winter from June to August and spring from September to November.

July is the month with the lowest average temperature in the country. The month with the highest average temperature is in January or February in the Southern Australia and December in the Northern. The hottest part of Australia in the summer is around Marble Bar in Western Australia. The average temperature in Marble Bar is 41 degrees C. A period with 40 degrees C can continue for several weeks at a time. The average minimum temperature in the winter month is -5 degrees C in the South East Area.
