Abstract

This assignment examines the different blood types, A, B, AB and 0. The first part of the assignment contains an explanation of the rhesus - and AB0 system. This part is mainly based on books, different sources from the Internet and notes from biology lessons. The second part deals with the binomial distribution and chi-square test. I present some examples of the binomial distribution, to find the blood type AB. I found the results by using excel, where I found the probability of how many in the class, who had the blood type AB. Later on in the assignment, there is an explanation of how the experiment was carried out. Furthermore I explain, how to conduct the chi-square test. In the last part of the assignment, I will compare the blood types of the students, with results of Danish population. I will close the assignment with a conclusion, and provide a perspective on the subject to the use of blood transfusion risk and benefits.
