Take these broken wings

The story i’ve read is called “Take these broken wings”. The story is about a young girl with an eating disorder, the form of the eating disorder is bulimia, perhaps also anorexia, and for those who don’t know what bulimia is, it’s when you eat food and throw up afterwards, on the other hand anorexia is when you think you are “too fat” and starve yourself. In the story you hear about the mother who is very afraid for her, her mom is her shadow , always in her heels. You hear about the mother who is always frantic when her daughter is not home, constantly needing to reassure herself that she were safe and intact.

The young girl that suffered from an eating disorder tells us a story when she was very young and she had gotten a porcelain doll that was not to come down from the highest and safest shelf. One day she brought it with her to school so she could brag and show off, the sad part is later that day she dropped the doll on the asphalt and crack it wide open, the young girl was fascinated by the doll when she saw it was hollow and she decided somehow that she also wanted to be hollow.
