“In ten years I want to become an actress” I said to my mum. Mum looked at my leg and replied: “Not with that broken leg, sweetie”. I looked at her with a sad smile as I really wanted my dream to come true, and be successful in my career. I looked outside and saw the school bus waiting outside, so I quickly grabbed my crutches and my red Nike bag and limped out rapidly towards the bus. As soon as I stepped inside I heard someone shout from the house “Jessica”. I looked back and saw mum holding my packed lunch in her hand. As I came back from getting the pack I took a glance at the bus driver who was looking at me with a grumpy face. I ignored him as I walked towards the bus and saw my best friend Lizzie sitting with two other girls from the cheerleading squad. Lizzie waved at me and told me to come and sit next to her. Later in the class, everyone asked about my leg as I blamed the cheerleading training. Suddenly the class went quiet when Mr. Howard walked in with his physics books. I hated physics since I don’t understand anything about what goes on in the lesson. I was waiting for the bell to ring. RING!!! Finally the bell rang and everyone sprinted out of the class while I was left behind with my broken leg. It made me feel like I was never going to become successful, but like always Lizzie was there to help me whenever I was in need. As we walked outside to the playground, we found a bench where we could sit down and eat our lunch. We looked at the big white clock on the school wall and saw that there was only two minutes left of the break. We wasted a lot of time inside the school just to get out. I felt quite bad since Lizzie couldn’t finish her lunch pack because of me, but I didn’t say anything. As soon as the bell rang, I got up and got ready to go through all that hassle again. I wish I could rewind time and that I had never gone to that specific training session on the day I broke my leg. When I sat down, the English teacher, Ms. Anna was already in the class waiting for me as she said “Jessica, someone came looking for you”. I looked at her and thought why someone would be looking for me. I sat down in my place and a few minutes later, I saw a woman through the glass of the class door. The face looked a bit familiar. When the woman entered the classroom I found out that it was my mum. She told the teacher that I had a doctor’s appointment, so the teacher gave me permission to go. On one hand I was happy because I could skip the English lesson but on the other hand I was a bit scared, what if the doctor delivered some bad news to me about my leg. When we reached the doctor’s clinic, we were told to wait for the doctor to call us. I asked my mum “what would the doctor say?” Mum replied “don’t be scared, it’s probably only a checkup on your leg”. After a couple of minutes the doctor came with a piece of paper in his hand and called me and my mum into a room. As the doctor made me lay down in a high soft bed, he took an x-ray of my leg and told me that it would be fine in a couple of days. I asked him if it would be a barrier for me becoming an actress. He responded “don’t worry you will become a very famous and well-known actress”. As the doctor said this, I had a large smile on my face and it felt like it would never go away. Then as we left the room, the doctor gave me a doll to express his kindness, and because of this I was so happy like I had never been before. On the way home, I told my mum that I will try my best to reach this achievement.
