My main topic is youth culture and as my topic have I chosen educational system. I have chosen to work with educational system because it is very interesting and I think it is appropriate to my main topic. When you get an education you grow up and you have to be responsible for what you do and that is connected to the main topic Coming of age.
First of all, I will tell you about the Danish educational system. Secondly will I tell you about the US educational system and the last topic I will tell you about the differences between Denmark and the U.S.. At last I will talk about my opinion to all of this - how I think about it, and what I mean about it.
The Danish educational system
Before starting pre-school most children in Denmark benefit from day-care services such as nurseries and kindergarten. Pre-school is followed by nine years obligatory education in school. There is an optional tenth form. The upper secondary education system includes a range of opportunities. Academic programmes allow students to apply for entry to higher education. Vocational (erhversfaglige) programmes are aimed at direct entry to the labour market. The higher education sector includes universities and business academies.
