1. Write a summary of “eSports: Are Pro Gamers the Athletes of the Future?” Michael Douglas Smith discusses whether Esport can be defined as a real sport. Can sport have subjective scoring? “an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.” This is the description of "sport" according to the Oxford Dictionary. Whit this description, many activities and exercises fall into the classification of sport. Activities such as, writing a timed essay in an English class, or even business can fall under the definetion of “sport”. As both an avid sports fan and video game enthusiast, I must stand against the impending that professional gaming is actually a sport. It's hard to call a sport, a “sport", when computers are among the best players in the world. Sport is physical, and athletes must participate physically. Computers can’t replace them. Wen the computer are better than the athlete, its validity as a sport are lost. No matter how you describe Esport, its come to stay. It is part of the technological and cultural development.
