Literature is a term used to describe written and sometimes spoken material. Literature most frequently refers to works of the creative imagination, including poetry, drama, fiction, nonfiction, journalism, and in some instances, song. It's difficult to precisely define what literature are, though many have tried, but it's clear that the accepted definition of literature is changing and evolving all the time. For many literature is the study of the human language. It is learning the grammar rules, speaking and writing so that we have the ability to communicate with others. But for me literature is not the study of grammar, but of the ideas, and themes within the literature. Literature opens up people's minds, and allows people to connect and sharing their messages by sharing thoughts.
Literature has massively impacted my life. Reading made me feel like I was a part of something. I loved magical worlds and realms, and exploring new places with new things. Every time I read stories, I create my own sort of world, and every time I watched a movie with persons who had magical powers, I tried too copy them for hours! I grew up watching the Harry Potter series. It was my escape from the real world. I loved living the HP life, because it was funnier than my normal life. I've always dreamed and believed that I was a part of the movie I watched or the book I read. Literature has helped me with my life and made it funnier and better. I wrote some stories when I was younger, I created a lot of stories in my head, I just loved living other people’s life, and controlling their life’s. I usually wrote/thought about people who “lived life”, had special powers and just things that doesn’t exist. I never wrote about bad things. Literature has pretty much made me who I am today. So, no I couldn’t imagine a world without literature. Just to put some perspective in it, imagine a world without creativity and imaginations, and in the long run I think it would be pretty boring- to say the least.
