Being a teenager: frihed og udfordringer

It’s nice to be a teenager because you are almost able to do whatever you want. For example, I can go drink with my friends without my parents being concerned about where I am and when I know when I am coming home, I can just write to them that I’ll be home around 12 o’clock. But there are also some things that are difficult about being a teenager. You have a lot of exams and you need to help at home with the food. And if you want to buy some new clothes you need to pay with your own money. And you don’t just get pocket money as you used to at home, you need to get an after-school job. And save up some money on your own. But I like it as a teenager especially because I am a boy, and it’s because I think a lot of parents is more overprotective with their daughters than with their sons. But my parents treat me perfectly because they take care of me but they still let me do some stuff on my own. But sometimes it can be difficult for me because I am the middle child in my family so I don’t get so much attention as my siblings, then as a teenager, you need to choose what you want to do after 9th grade. There are a lot of changes between childhood and being a teenager, and many of them are unexpected. For me, the most dramatic change has occurred recently. I have started to see the world as a new place. A place where drinking and drugs are common problems and especially drugs. There are so many young people taking drugs and some of them don't even know what's in the drugs and some teens even die. peer pressure isn’t something you are warned about but a daily factor in many of your decisions. Friends you have known since forever begin to do things you don’t agree with, and eventually they turn into strangers and that feels kinda weird because some of them have been your best friends for years, I had a friend that used to be one of my best friends but when we graduated he suddenly just became a whole new person that I didn’t like. Then you also have to start thinking about your future because before you know it you need a job. But in general i think that teenagers get too much attention, I don't think it’s fair to the teenagers because the also have a private life and they are also confused because they go thrue puperty.
