The sport community has a huge impact on society, and this starts with its market in the business world. In the world, the sports community helps the economy a lot. Sports do not just bring money to the economy, but it also makes jobs. In the UK, the sports industry has made 987,564 jobs, and has also made 23,8 billion dollars in the UK. This shows that sports what sports can do and provide for a country, as it can in the UK. Sports can also make people feel involved by supporting their favorite team, group, or individuals. This helps sell sports merchandise, equipment, club jerseys, or other team sponsored items. The best part about it is that it is not only in one country, for sports can be shown all around the world to give people who can support their team or individual. There was a study covering 41 countries involved in this trade and making up for 96% of the overall sporting goods and equipment exported in the world has revealed that the real value could have been 28 billion dollars in 2004. This is showing what sports can do to improve economies, because it brings so much money to many countries around the world. Sports does not only affect a country’s economy, but also local economies, mainly through tourism dollars, for example once a year when there is Super Bowl, many people come from all around the world to see Super Bowl in real live. This helps the hotels/motels, restaurants/cafes, and boutiques, because there is so many people and tourists coming to watch the Super Bowl where it is being held. Therefore, tourists mean more money. This proves that the sports community has a huge impact on society.
