Sport is very important in our lives, is can either give us a good feeling if your team wins or a bad feeling, or a feeling of rage if your team loses. But sport can quickly be ruined by many things, one is worse than the other and these might only affect some countries, or some countries worse than others. These things include doping either with taking a pill or injecting fluids or even blood into your blood system.Hooliganism is the act of fighting other fans or hooligans in rage, or ruining public property. This is often triggered by a rage against another team or the simple rage over your team losing.Racism is the act of discriminating another race or just a person that is different from you. This has triggered a lot of big cases where football players have been dragged to court for calling a black football player a “nigger”. Two famous cases of racism in football include the big football players John Terry from Chelsea and Liverpool’s Uruguayan star, Luis Suarez. They are accused of insulting Patrice Evra from Manchester City and Anton Ferdinand from Queen’s Park Rangers racially. But in the football players defense, when you become a household name, stories about you often get much bigger than they are and are spread all over the internet and papers. Manchester United’s star Wayne Rooney once swore in front of camera after he scored a goal, and that caused him to get a 2 game ban. Also Ryan Giggs has suffered the spread of famous people’s private life. Ha had an affair with a reality star Imogen Thomas, and then was stabbed in the back, when Imogen sold the story to the British tabloids. Many of these things are included in the so called cancer of football, and I understand why, this ruins the trust other players have in each other and the trust fans have in their teams. Therefor punishment unfortunately has to be used from time to time, it can be a 2 game ban or a 10 game ban and a huge fine, depending on what the person is accused of. It can’t be stopped right away, but in many ways we will slowly move toward the perfect football society where everyone is pleased.
