A beautiful story about two people is portrayed in the short film "Two strangers who met five times”. The director of the movie is Marcus Markou, and it was released for the first time in a film festival in 2017. The movie is focussing on the rule “treat others as you want to be treated yourself”, but also about forgiving each other. The themes in the short film are forgiveness, racism and thoughtfulness.

The short film is about two men who bump into each other five times in their lives. All during different times, at different ages and in different circumstances. These bumps were going to have a big impact on their future lives.

The short film is nonfiction, and the narrator is subjective. The racism in the film is expressed among others in the scene at the ATM, when they met for the second time. Samir, who is an immigrant, is about drawing some money, and Alistair is provoked that Samir is taking his time. Alistar is racially offensive when he says to Samir “if you are looking for the Arabic option go back on the screen” and afterwards when he calls Samir “Abdel” without knowing his name. The reason why Alistar behaves racially offensive and patronizing can have many reasons. But it is a fact that Alistar is trying to rise above another human by being racially offensive.
