“The Falling Man” follows a survivor of the 9/11 attacks as he walks through New York City and witnesses the direct aftermath of the first of the two towers falling. Chaos is everywhere, people running, smoke and ash falling from the sky, yet the man seems very numb and just keeps walking while describing everything he sees, hears, and smells. He hears the second tower collapsing but just continues to make his way through the city with no apparent destination. It’s not until an old panel truck stops and someone offers him a ride, that he understands where he was going all along.
