Friends come in many shapes and guises: school friends, work colleagues, partners, parents, pets and neighbors. What a friend is, vary from who you ask.
To some people a friend is a person you can speak with, other people thinks that a friend just is a person you know, and others again think that a friend is a person you can share everything with.
A friend is a person you trust, a person you can be honest and open with. A friend is the one making you smile when you are sad and bringing you up when you are down. It is important to have such a friend, if you do not have a friend like that you are alone with everything, and that is too hard.
When I was in 7th grade I did not have such a friend, and I can tell you, it is really hard! I had to do everything on my own, no one ever wanted to be a part of my project, and I felt like no one cared for me. Through 8th and 9th grade I fought to be accepted as who I am, and it was really hard, but at the end of 9th grade Mia, now my best friend, noticed me and it came out that we both should work in “Legoland”. For the first time in two years, I had the courage to care a little less about what my classmates thought of me.
