I personally think that it is very important to have a friend or friends in your life. Because people are often in situations where they usually need a friend, those situations could perhaps be due to a heartbreak where you need a shoulder to cry on or when you have to make some difficult choices where you need a second opinion, it s very good to have one who always sticks by you side no matter what, one you can trust and can keep all your secrets safe. Friends are like God's way of taking care of us, like a gift to yourselves.

I would also much prefer one loyal friend than thousand of disloyal family members even though they say ”Blood is thicker then water”.

Once I saw a movie about a guy, who had no male friends, lets call him Peter. His future wife tried to get him some male friends, but it always went wrong. One day Peter met this gentlemen at a house opening, he was a house salesmen and the gentlemen was a customer. They talked and talked and they had a blast. They were a match. He suddenly realized how rewarding it was to have a male friend to open up to, somebody that could relate to him, relate to his problems. Of course he had his wife, but again, she was a woman and he was a man, Venus and Mars. He shared everything with his new best friend, everything, love problems, work problems and personal problems. He had discovered this new world of understanding and meaning. But one day his new friend asks him a favour, he asks if he can borrow 8000 dollars. Peter is kind of suspicious, because they were only starting to know each other properly and 8000 dollars is a lot of money. Peter asks him what he needs the money for, his friend said that it was classified, that he could not tell him. Peter lent him the money anyways. Weeks went by, and Peter was driving in his car through the streets, suddenly he saw all these house sale posters and Peters' face was on it, so the friend had spent all that money on making Peter a better salesman. By that story we can conclude that a real friend, will never let you down, trick you or make you feel sad, those people are the fountains of our well being. The ones who helps us, when we are in trouble and the ones who makes cloudy days, sunny days.
