The action takes place in Odense at the start of the 2100 century. The Jensen family and the Mohammed family is in conflict with each other because their children are in love with each other, and the Jensen family are Protestants, and the Mohammed family are Muslims.

It creates a lot of problems, and at last it ends with that the two families decides their youngsters should not see each other anymore.

It all began with the two young people meeting each other at a party, her name was Julie, and his name was Wahid.

They were both in love at first sight and could not stay away from each other.

Everything went well until Wahid found out that Julie had Jensen as her surname, then the problems began in earnest. Because his father would not allow him to see or to marry a woman with another religion. The Jensen family did also not want to have a husband for there daughter with Muslim background. The two families did everything they could to stop the relationship, but the two young lovers managed to marry in secret.

Wahid started a new education and had to leave Odense for a while. The Jensen family saw it as an opportunity and decided that they would make Julie marry a young nobleman from a fine Protestant family. Julie was out of herself and did not know what to do. Finally Julie asked the priest, Mogens for help. She told the priest about her problems and threatened to take her own life. The priest listened and at last he agreed to make her a drink, which got her to sleep so tight in two days that anyone would think she was dead.
