COP15 i København: Resultater og reaktioner

People all over the world, were excited to here the final result of the COP15, but the result wasn’t as excepted, the meeting ended Saturday after a 31-hour long negotiation where countries like USA and China where dominating. The so call agreement that was made was that poor and small countries would get billions of dollars in aid, but the agreement didn’t require major polluters as USA and chine to make a deeper cut in there greenhouse emission. Thumbs down for the PM

The prime minister of Denmark have been given bad marks of the result of a poll made after the COP15, there were only 9% of the voters that said that they were satisfied with the conference, according to a poll carried out by the Jyllands Posten. But the Climate minister Connie Hedegaard got a positive result from a poll carried were 65% of the voter said that she managed her task very well.

Massive Arrests

While the world leaders were trying so hard to get a “fair” deal, Greenpeace and other climate loving groups demonstrating, to show the leaders of the world that a binding Political Contract were needed. Many of the over 1000 demonstrators were arrested, by the police, the reason was that they were violent or that they were wearing a mask which is against the rules of demonstrating, but spokesmen were especially targeted, and the police tried to remove the spokesmen out of the demonstration as fast as possible. Many people are accusing the Danish police force of being too violent against the demonstrators and that a few people stil are being held in captivity even after the end of the conference. The Danish police say that this was a win for them because the police was as many as demonstrators and that they could fight back equally, and that the demonstrators weren’t prepared to meet that many police officers, and that’s way every single person who had bad intentions in the demonstration were caught and imprisoned.
