Many young celebrities have been in the spotlight for their whole life, for example Micheal Jackson, the Olsen twins and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter).
Fame can mean great opportunities for young people but it does not mean, that it is all glorious. They may face a lot of rejection on their journey to fame.
Children need management and what’s more important they should have support and love from their families. The loss of privacy, gossip, and constant surveillance can be devastating for some.
Except for a few, the lives of many child stars have been destroyed by either alcohol or drugs. They have been in trouble with the law or have ended up bu dyuing at a very young age.
Although I do not pay that much attention to today's child stars, ecxept for a few (Emma Watson), I kind of wonder where they'll be in the next ten, fifteen, or even twenty years, long after their Hollywood careers have vanished. But after all, show business is not a place for a kid. They are too young to handle success at such a young age. Over the years, on talk shows such as Ricki Lake and Dr. Phil, there have been parents who haved pushed their kids to the limit, hoping that they would become the next Britney Spears or Michael Jackson. They simply make them do something that they do not want to do, and they don't care what other people think. The parents are actually trying to fulfil their dreams through their kids.
